How do you prevent mold in your Richmond home?
The mold monster can reach any part of your home, but a lot of the time mold is most prevalent in your bathroom. Mold grows more frequently when water damage has occurred. The best way to lower the risk of mold damage in your home is to follow some rules. Below, we give you a few tips to consider for your home:
Fix a Leak: You want to try to take preventable measures before water damage sets in. Leaks are a top way for mold growth. If you fix the leak sooner rather than later, it is less likely for mold to start growing.
Run Bathroom Fans: Water in your bathroom can create a humid environment. Humidity creates water damage, which creates mold growth. The best way to keep this to a minimum is to run the bathroom fan. Also, keep the vents cleaned so that air can flow and dry the area more quickly.
Be Weary of Water: Water accumulation in your bathroom is the top way that mold can grow. Look for water in your bathroom and make sure to get it dry as soon as possible. Water can get around the toilet, under the sink, and next to the shower. You want to check these spots more carefully and closely.
