Fire Safety --It's Time to Check on Your Wiring
5/22/2019 (Permalink)
How long have you lived in your home?
Now, ask yourself the question --how long did the people before you live in your home?
When it comes to home safety from fire hazards and fire damages, the best way is to check for inadequate or old wiring. Inadequate wiring cause fires to break out in older homes or newer homes, if it was not installed correctly.
Some signs to see if you’ve bad or faulty wiring are:
- Lights dim if you use another appliance
- For an appliance to work, you have to disconnect another
- Fuses blow or trip the circuit frequently.
Have a licensed electrician come and inspect you house, or contact your landlord if you have any of the above occurrences.
SERVPRO® of Madison, Rockcastle, Garrard, & Lincoln Counties know fire damage, but we do not want to see it happen to you and your family.
