Do not let your Dryer Vent Ruin your Home

Make a List

One of the most common causes of fire damage is a dirty dryer vent. It's hidden away, so sometimes it is hard to think about it. The problem is that dryer vents are not the only issue. When securing your home against water or fire damage one of the best solutions you can do is to make a list. 

Create a list of all of the possible damages that can occur from water or fire mishaps that are preventable. 

Put that list somewhere that everyone in the family can see it. Put someone in charge of marking that list off and checking it twice. 

Always decide if something needs to be checked weekly, monthly, yearly, and even daily when necessary. You do not want to miss a vital part of house care that could prevent major damages from occurring to your home and family. 

Dryer vents are just one of the major issues, but check other parts of your home too. Dryer vents may not seem like a huge issue, but when not cleaned properly and timely they can cause irreversible damages.
